It was a busy night for volunteers in the area. At apprix 10pm crews from station 293 were dispatched to assist Duquesne station 133 with a reported residential structure fire. In the following 40min crews responded to 3 working fires within the city of duquesne. The ACFM  is investigating the cause of all 3 fires.

Crews from Station 293 were alerted ito assist Duquesne Station 133 with a confirmed structure fire on 6th street. Upon arrival crews were met with 2 homes fully involved with a church also being threatened by the fire. 293 Quint was tasked with hitting a hydrant and operating the master stream for a defensive attack on the fire. Crews worked in 90 temp's  with high levels of humidity to get the fire under control. The church was saved from any major damage as a result of the fire. 1 Firefighter from Station 293 was treated at the scene for Heat Exhaustion. The cause of the blaze is currently under investigation .
